The favorite part of my day was…
Seeing the mutual admiration between our staff & students…Craig is & always will be a student favorite…& being personally invited by Royce to an intense game of kindergarten kickball, an all-time playground favorite! When we remember to pay attention & be present, we are able to see the good things happening right in front of us & can then make a positive impact on those we are here to serve, whether it’s a kindergartner on the playground or a junior in high school in a tough situation. Today was a great reminder of the power a moment can have when people feel seen & heard.

The favorite part of my day was… Watching our boys basketball team bounce back this morning with a definitive win over Dufur in order to play for 4th place tomorrow morning at 9:45am. Day five celebrates our specialists & support staff…Samantha, Duncan, Natasha, Lindsey, Andrea, Becca, Taylor, Craig, Brad, & Garak…these individuals, while not all having the same role, all share the trait of showing up day after day for our students & school community, doing whatever is needed to make school go smoothly…& our school simply would not function without these key people. The favorite part of my day was…
Sending off our boys basketball team to the state tournament, of course! Good luck boys, go get’em!!!!
Day three celebrates our kitchen staff, Darcy, Terri, & Heidi. These three are the picture of consistency. Not only are they striving to improve our offerings for meals, but in a recent audit by the state of Oregon, they not only passed with flying colors, but our systems & processes have been shared with other districts as an exemplar of how to do quality work.

The favorite part of my day was…
Oobleck in 3rd grade!
Day 2 of classified appreciation week highlights three rockstars in our school community in Kim, Jen, and Tionie. They quite literally serve the entire school community. From students to staff to families, & the larger community, if you’ve been in contact with our school then you’ve been fortunate to have been helped by them.
They consistently embody an attitude of service & are the consummate professionals. With a combined 44 years of service in our district, we are all wise to look to them as steady examples of dedication & commitment. Worth striving to emulate. Thank you ladies!
