The favorite part of my day was…
Seeing this sunset while driving to post our board meeting agendas in all Sherman County post offices…followed by watching our boys team move to 19-0 in a dominant win.

The favorite part of my day was…
…it actually started last night at 10pm when I got this picture texted to me with the message that our boys team is still undefeated, 18-0, a new school record, & 1 of only 4 teams remaining in the entire state that are undefeated…getting invited to & visiting the 4th grade classroom as they did their watershed projects led by Miss MaryLou…getting invited to & visiting Mrs. Fields’ 2nd grade class as they presented their animal reports…& getting a text from Mrs. Martin sharing what kindergarten PE was up to! We have great kids doing great things, with very bright futures ahead of them.

The favorite part of my day was…
The sunrise on the way to school this morning & the view from my office upon arriving. Every day is a fresh start full of opportunities for connection, growth & improvement, & Sherman County sunrises are a perfect reminder of just that, to start anew.

The favorite part of my day was…
The end of quarter Kindergarten through 5th grade awards assembly! I love hearing the teachers share all the good things our students are doing, the academic growth they’re making, & seeing & hearing the joy & pride they have in their students as they acknowledge their hard work in front of their families & friends.

Starting the day with Thankful Thursday school-wide…Getting into 2nd & 3rd grade classrooms for formal evaluations…Followed by joining in on a quick game of Castles dodgeball with 1st & 2nd grader’s PE…& ending the day coaching our 5th/6th girls basketball team to a hard-fought victory over Condon…Another great day to be a Husky.

Getting to post this instead of a school closure announcement 😉…seeing the fliers for the PTO getting ready to sell Husky gear (keep an eye out for this coming home with your student!)…And getting back in the gym with middle school girls basketball.
