The favorite part of my day was… Getting invited to see the Kindergarten class take their ducks swimming for the 1st time. Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.

The favorite part of my day was… Hearing the kindergarten students give their Mother’s Day speeches to their visiting moms. Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.

The favorite part of my day was… Attending the annual FFA Banquet. It was great to see so many of our students acknowledged for their commitment to Sherman County FFA, as well as Mr. Swenson receiving the Honorary Chapter Degree. Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.

The favorite part of my day was… Seeing our teachers’ reactions after they noticed the senior “project” that had been completed the night before. (Notice the top row of keys) ;) Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.

The favorite part of my day was… Catching the last few innings of our boys winning their home baseball playoff game…& helping a few seniors with their project. Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.

The favorite part of my day was… Seeing the 8th grade pinewood derby races…running into a former student while picking up sandwiches for our teachers…hearing Mark Mobley announce our junior high home track meet…delivering goodie bags of teachers’ favorite snacks, drinks, their favorite store’s gift card, & a 1-hour off coupon. A small token of appreciation considering the incredible impact they have on our future. Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.

The time for the doubleheader baseball game on Saturday against Heppner/Ione has changed. Games will being at 12:00.

The favorite part of my day was… Hearing the teachers being honored by their students in a surprise little celebration of them during our monthly character trait awards assembly…& seeing the selection of prom dresses & accessories that are ready for the prom swap tomorrow (there is male attire too!). Thank you to all who donated & to Kristen Labenske for organizing the event for our students! Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.

The favorite part of my day was… Being invited in to see the 4th grade Garden in a Glove project…the continuation of Mrs. Mobley visiting 5th grade for art along with a few of our leadership students supporting…& seeing our high school boys & girls tennis matches vs Madras. The favorite part of my day was… Seeing the kickoff to Teacher Appreciation week. This week, May 1-5, kicks off Certified Employee Appreciation Week, which presents us with an amazing opportunity to thank our teachers for the critical roles they play in the success of our District. On behalf of the Board of Directors and Classified Staff, we sincerely thank them for their commitment to the success of Sherman students.

Eight students headed to Madras for the FFA Tractor Driving contest. The beginning team placed 3rd and Sawyer placed 4th high individual in the advanced team. Beginning team: Addie, Taylor, Levi and Gage Advance team: Renan, Sawyer, James and Logan Congratulations!

The favorite part of my day was… (again) realizing how proud our staff is of our students. In the past 48 hours alone 4 different staff have texted me pictures sharing the good things our students are doing, learning, & experiencing. Our staff are proud of our students & wanting to share that positivity with others. Whether it’s Kindergarten & 1st grade art & Ag in the classroom, or 6th grade outdoor school & FFA tractor driving results, our staff celebrate our students & school daily. The favorite part of my day was… (Yesterday) decorating & delivering gifts to the offices of our amazing Administrative Professionals with all of the student made posters of appreciation. And today…attending day 1 of the ORTIi/PBIS conference with our team of 6 teachers & specialists. We are here learning together about how we can continue to develop & strengthen our systems of support for all of our students, both behaviorally & academically. The favorite part of my day was… Seeing the primary hallway art by students, as led by artist & guest teacher Mrs. Mobley. Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.
