The favorite part of my day was… Our monthly K-6 assembly acknowledging students…today was the girls & boys basketball teams & students selected by staff who exhibited Kindness, the character trait for the month of February. Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.

The favorite part of my day was… All the little conversations I got to have with students this morning as I read in elementary classrooms for Dr. Seuss week. Sherman County School District Parents, Guardians, Students and Staff, This is a message for Tuesday, February 28, 2023… After careful analysis of roads in Sherman County by transportation officials, especially those South of Wasco, the Sherman County School District will be on a two hour delay due to icy road conditions. This will allow additional travel time for everyone during day light hours. We truly apologize for the inconveniences that school delays cause, but our main priority is to ensure the safety of our students, parents and staff. Thank you!

The favorite part of my day was… Kicking off Dr. Seuss week & seeing 5th grade students reading to younger students during the Drop Everything And Read time today. Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.

Congrats to the cast of Red Riding Hood!

The favorite part of my day was… The blue & gold worn by students for FFA day…seeing students enjoy watching Mr. Owens shooting hoops…watching Mrs. Peterson take a picture of 6th grade students with their math project…listening to the kindergarten students sing their 100-day songs...& delivering some of the Thank You Thursday notes…one in particular to a high school student that read “thank you for being the big brother that I needed”. After a fantastic FFA week the fun continues next week with Dr. Seuss week!

The favorite part of my day was… Watching the Red Riding Hood rehearsal & Mr. Dearborn playing cribbage in gaming club down the hall. Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.

The favorite part of my day was… Too many things to pick just one these past two days. Sending our boys & girls off to state basketball playoffs & the friendships & teamwork both on & off the court…the FFA dress up days & PIG tournament…the 100th day of school celebrated by our kindergarten students…the Missoula children’s theater workshops with elementary classes… & expressing our gratitude & appreciation for our school bus drivers. The favorite part of my day was… Discussing instruction with our staff…Ending the week with a staff meeting often means ending our week with good conversation, a chance to collaborate & get calibrated on our direction, & laugh together. Today was no exception. I am fortunate to get to lead our staff. I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again, we have a great staff who are continually looking to grow in their profession in order to improve student outcomes. Good is the enemy of great & our goal is 100% of students, period. Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.

In recognition of Presidents' Day, there is no school on Monday, February 20.

The favorite part of my day was… Seeing our girls basketball team travel to support & cheer on our boys team at Spray. Our boys showed a ton of heart. Going to be great games on Saturday. Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.

February 20-​24 is National FFA Week. Students will participate in fun activities along with themed dress-up days. We can't wait to see who wins the P.I.G. Tournament and the Country Car Show.
