The favorite part of my day was… Watching the FFA showcase at the monthly school board meeting. Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.

Due to field conditions, today's baseball game against Culver has been canceled and rescheduled for April 27.

The favorite part of my day was… Kaelex teaching 1st grade students about her baby goats & our 6th grade students working with Mrs. King to deliver on their kindness project with the kindergarten class. We have some great future leaders in our school. Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.

The favorite part of my day was… Showing appreciation to our classified staff by making an all-call on the school-wide intercom, calling all classified staff to the gym for a short but extremely intense rock-paper-scissors tournament that ended with the winner pocketing a cold hard $50 bill. Check out the video footage. Staff had 37 seconds to get to the gym. Yes, this was the exception to the “we don’t run in the halls” expectation. ;) Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.

The favorite part of my day was… Kicking off Classified Appreciation week…& having our fire safety assembly, welcoming the fire department & forest service (Mr. B couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a selfie with Smokey the Bear) Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.

This week, March 6-10, kicks off Classified Employee Appreciation Week, which presents us with an amazing opportunity to thank our support personnel for the critical roles they play in the success of our District. On behalf of the Board of Directors and Certified Staff, we sincerely thank them for their commitment to the success of Sherman students.

The favorite part of my day was… Seeing all the Dr. Seuss dress up characters, young & ...not as young 😉 Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.

The favorite part of my day was… Our monthly K-6 assembly acknowledging students…today was the girls & boys basketball teams & students selected by staff who exhibited Kindness, the character trait for the month of February. Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.

School Schedule Reminder! Due to the Emergency Closure we had on Tuesday, tomorrow, March 3, will be a full day Friday.

The favorite part of my day was… All the little conversations I got to have with students this morning as I read in elementary classrooms for Dr. Seuss week. One of my favorite comments was one of our youngest students letting me know she’s “addicted to unicorns”. :) Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.

As always, our top priority is the safety of our students, staff, parents and bus drivers. After reassessing road conditions and consulting with local road officials, the Sherman County School District will be closed today. Thank you for your understanding and please be safe!

Sherman County School District Parents, Guardians, Students and Staff, This is a message for Tuesday, February 28, 2023… After careful analysis of roads in Sherman County by transportation officials, especially those South of Wasco, the Sherman County School District will be on a two hour delay due to icy road conditions. This will allow additional travel time for everyone during day light hours. We truly apologize for the inconveniences that school delays cause, but our main priority is to ensure the safety of our students, parents and staff. Thank you!

The favorite part of my day was… Kicking off Dr. Seuss week & seeing 5th grade students reading to younger students during the Drop Everything And Read time today. Principal Fall #EveryKid.EveryDay.100%.

Congrats to the cast of Red Riding Hood!

The favorite part of my day was… The blue & gold worn by students for FFA day…seeing students enjoy watching Mr. Owens shooting hoops…watching Mrs. Peterson take a picture of 6th grade students with their math project…listening to the kindergarten students sing their 100-day songs...& delivering some of the Thank You Thursday notes…one in particular to a high school student that read “thank you for being the big brother that I needed”. After a fantastic FFA week the fun continues next week with Dr. Seuss week!
