The favorite part of my day was…
Too many things to pick just one these past two days. Sending our boys & girls off to state basketball playoffs & the friendships & teamwork both on & off the court…the FFA dress up days & PIG tournament…the 100th day of school celebrated by our kindergarten students…the Missoula children’s theater workshops with elementary classes… & expressing our gratitude & appreciation for our school bus drivers.

The favorite part of my day was…
Discussing instruction with our staff…Ending the week with a staff meeting often means ending our week with good conversation, a chance to collaborate & get calibrated on our direction, & laugh together. Today was no exception. I am fortunate to get to lead our staff. I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again, we have a great staff who are continually looking to grow in their profession in order to improve student outcomes. Good is the enemy of great & our goal is 100% of students, period.

Congratulations Sherman FFA on your accomplishments at contests over the weekend!

The favorite part of my day was…
Being part of a SPED exit meeting where the team concluded the student had demonstrated such growth & improvement in all areas that the student is no longer in need of an IEP. The best part was hearing the road the student had traveled to get here & the immense pride the parent had in their student’s growth.

The favorite part of my day was…
Examining mid year academic & behavioral data in our PBIS team meeting & Leadership team meeting & then reporting out with the teams in our all-staff meeting at the end of the day.
Building shared leadership is by far one of the most valuable objectives to work towards with our staff. It’s a simple & significant bonus that time spent together feels much like time spent with friends or family. Lots of laughter, respect, & appreciation expressed. We have a great team.
