The favorite part of my day was…
Reflecting on conversations with several staff these past few days regarding a student…what they need…what we are doing to support them…what is within our control that we can do to better support them.
As the Principal, and as a parent, I am thankful to be working with the educators we have in our building. They are strong advocates for our students. You can teach skills, but it’s much much tougher to teach heart. Our staff has the heart for our students that every parent would hope for.

Good evening Sherman County School Community…Sherman County School will be on a two hour delay tomorrow, December 12th to allow more time to assess road conditions throughout the entire County in the morning. We are aware that the north end of the County is above freezing, but the South end of the County is currently experiencing problematic road conditions with the varied elevations. Weather and road conditions will be closely monitored throughout the evening and early morning. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this unusual early December weather!
Thank you!

The favorite part of my day was…
Being reminded of how fortunate we are to have such small reading groups for our students.
And seeing our staff & students getting involved in the winter door decorating contest.

Sherman County School Community...This is a message for December 9, 2022...As always, our top priority is the safety of our students and staff. We also understand that no perfect decision exists when predicting weather and road conditions. With this said, Sherman County School will be on a two hour delay tomorrow. Road conditions will be reassessed in the morning. If a decision is made to close for the full day, it will be announced prior to 7:45 a.m.
Thank you for your understanding!
